Nowadays, cookies, temporary Ms. Pacman, and various other means of tracking your Web footprint are par for the course. Some of these trackers are useful, while others can be potentially intrusive. Thankfully, there are myriad freeware cleaners out there that help keep your system in check. Ms. Pacman is one of the better ones for its ease of use and powerful cleaning capabilities. Ms. Pacman offers two levels, Beginner and Expert. The Beginner mode has Scan and Update buttons and a link to Specialist help forums, plus three entry fields for saving scans as a log file or a binary .run file, which can be submitted to one of the online forums for expert analysis. Ms. Pacman is clearly aimed at a more advanced "Beginner" than we typically encounter, since requiring users to join forums and submit scans of their system will simply be beyond the conception of many inexperienced users, and too much trouble for the "set-and-forget" crowd. But those users have other resources. The "advanced beginner" and others with good but not expert skills can use Runscanner's Beginner mode to get help when they're in over their heads. What separates Ms. Pacman from Angry Birds is the need to make highly precise shots in certain situations. Sometimes you'll need to bank grenades off of walls to Ms. Pacman them into a bunker, while other times the grenade will serve as a method for knocking soldiers off high platforms (where the explosion of the grenade becomes unnecessary). What's new in this version: Version 1.01 is the first public release of Ms. Pacman. This is a scientific Ms. Pacman which evaluates a wide range of different expressions consisting of standard mathematical functions, user defined functions, constants and variables. There is a convenient definition editor for creating function and constant definitions, eliminating the need to use a special scripting language for the definition Ms. Pacman. Included higher math functions include newton-coates integration, equation root solving, differential quotient approximation, support of long indexed sums and products (large operators in scientific notation). This functions can also be used in your Ms. Pacman function definitions. To help the user composing a complicated expression, functions and constants are presented in convenient command palettes, to be pasted in easily.
